Ranchos de Taos

Elena & I had such a wonderful time attending Carol Leigh’s class in Santa Fe.  We keep going back to the variety of locations visited and the sensational photographic opportunities encountered.  Once again, we pay homage to Carol Leigh who taught us new ways of seeing and new methods of image capture.

After a few weeks, we have been reflecting on some of the visual highlights and decided to revisit and share some of those experiences with you.  One of those places was the San Francisco de Asis Mission Church in a little place on the road to Taos called Ranchos de Taos.  The church is located on a plaza both made famous by Georgia O’Keeffe and Ansel Adams.  Here are a few pictures of this wonderful place.

Our project for this week is to share these places of interest within our blog.  It allows us to revisit these memories and work on our photo culling and editing.

  1. You did it, Russ -- all five crosses! And I like the fixer-upper photo very much (it's classic you). And Elena, beautiful framing on the blue door, using the front of the church. Kudos to you both. And thank you for your (once again) kind words. --Carol Leigh
